Dear Members,

22nd March every year is observed as World Water Day since 1993 following the declaration of United Nations General Assembly. The UN and its member nations devote this day to implementing UN recommendations and promoting concrete activities within their countries regarding the world's water resources

Society of South Asian Archaeology (SOSAA) pledged to leading and promoting such crucial issues concerning mankind has decided to focus on the critical Water Issues of our era. Thus SOSAA would be celebrating World Water Day on 23rd March in the Department of Archaeology, Deccan College Campus, Pune to promote clean water and sustainable aquatic habitats. A special lecture has been organized to be delivered by Dr. S D Limaye, Incharge of Association of Geologist for International Development, followed by a poster presentation. Please find attached the poster for the programme.

We request all our members and their friends and families to come and support this cause.
